You think that just because hierarchy and privatization have manifested with great likelihood in the past that they are inevitabilities? Have you ever studied certain "primitive" hunter-gatherer societies (specific names escape me)? If you had, you would understand a very different side of the "human condition." In the mentioned societies, there are no possessions--and thus no privatization. Hierarchies are nonexistent; they merely have simple, non-detrimental roles to play in order to survive. According to people that have experienced such a lifestyle firsthand, these primitive peoples are living in bliss compared to us capitalistic folk. The only reason that such a cynical reality holds true for you is because of your unwillingness to acknowledge such a possibility as change. There are endless scenarios in which these human tendencies may disappear (genetic mutations, improvement in technology, downfall of technology, change in common ideals, downfall of common ideals, etc.). In fact, in my opinion, a deciding factor that is stumping such a positive progression of humanity is your mindset on a global level.   See 3 other replies
