I was so hoping to get to see some more of what shu did when he got back. Oh well. This entire anime had me constantly yelling "No no no no no!" and I was constantly walking away to do my routine of daydreaming, my way of entering the storyline to make things right, ha ha.
But all in all, it showed war for what it really is. When power is in the hands of the corrupter, and all youth knows is war, it seems all they could do was create more war, more death, more hatred. In some ways it's exactly what the anime Naruto is trying to tell us. You can't expect to put out such a large fire by throwing fire at it.
