In my opion the Writers and Director are trying to tell us that we are our own worst enemy, we build whepons of mass distuction and then use them on each other. Like the movie we imatate art or art imatates life. Man's inhumanity to man is what I belive this is about if you are looking for a moral to the story its don't kill. All life is precious and none can be replaced

Watched the first one and wondered at the ending. This leaves no question. The writer hates humans and Giest is his answer. If you like to see people being slaughtered just for the heck of it then this could be your ticket. Otherwise I would skip it.

The plot summary: Most of humankind has been destroyed by a group of robots called "The Deathforce" which was unleashed upon the world in the first movie by the insane supersoldier, Geist. There is a last bastion of humanity wandering the desert in a kind of mobile fortress, founded by another supersoldier named Krauser. Geist attacks the fortress by leading a group of Deathforce there. Ergo, most of humanity is destroyed. **END SPOILER**The plot consists of scenes of destruction barely interspersed by short periods of talking. This alone is not enough to condemn the movie, but the fact that each of the characters (with the exception of Geist himself, which only wants to kill) are afflicted with the need to all backstab eachother makes it incredibly unbelievable. I understand that the genre isn't necessarily known for its realistic characters, but I found myself asking "Why the h*11 is he/she doing that?" throughout the entire movie, and never having a satisfactory answer. Almost always, the action taken by the character will obviously contributes to the destruction of the "last bastion of humanit," and almost always, the character ends up dead. For some people, that might work but I need my characters to have at least a *slightly* discernable and believable motive.

One of the previous reviewers have said that you need to take the age of the movie into consideration. However, there were plenty of anime made during that time that are good even by today's standards. Therefore, there really is no excusing this- The movie is a waste of time unless you want to watch 45 +/- minutes of people getting eaten by badly animated robots. If that's your thing and you don't care about anything else I have said here then this movie is for you. Otherwise, stay well away from this movie. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Garbage, utter and complete garbage. Writing is horid, Story is hacked up krap, even the voice actors sound totaly board with it... Plot...what plot?
Do yourself a favor and go do something more interesting then watching this, like clip your toe nails, or try and figure out why that little plastic thing on the end of shoe laces is called an aglet. I would have been more entertained watching soda loose its fizz or puting a piece of bead on my floor and waited for the mold.

Okay, the story was a bit absent (felt like it was rushed so much they slapped a bunch of scenes together). The overall story is not bad just poorly portrayed and is most definitely not spelled out for the simple minded, however, there also were not enough clues as to what was happening or why. For the date it came out I think the graphic quality is more than acceptable and demonstrates some talent. Each video needed better and more explanation than what was given.

The description is wrong first, as this movie seems to be about actually destroying the human race rather than saving it. The Geist dude is glorified while the savior is a megalomaniac and made out to be disliked. Essentially the character you should like is a jerk and the other, which the movie seems to celebrate, is a human killing maniac. The plot is horrible. The sci-fi tech is not believable or was poorly explained. The script and voice-over both worked hand-in-hand to make all dialogue meaningless and laughable at the same time. The music ... omg, that music. It is the absolutely most inappropriate type of musical genre to have been chosen to be used in a movie, animated or not, EVER! The music is silly and sends messages of "yay happy fun times", while you watch a bunch of humans getting their guts ripped out. Or perhaps a celebratory, jazzy-muzak hero-theme is needed. Made me want to rip my ears out. It made zero contextual sense. This movie is not worth your time.
