Nana: Episode 29

Personally I would Choose the band geeks. Even though I'm an art geek myself. I like the excitement that comes with the band while art isn't as exciting and thrilling. But then again I have the best of both worlds here because I'm living with my boyfriend who is a band geek.
Hachi didn't just choose the band geeks though. She was sort of forced to. She dated Shouji and saw Jun-ko a lot but when Shouji cheated on her it was Nana that was next to her through all of it as a roomate and a best friend. And Jun-ko was still hanging around with Shouji. It was nothing against Jun-ko or art geeks. She just didn't want to see or hear anything about shouji but still wanted friends and this is where the band geeks came in.
If Sachiko hadn't come into play I think she would have dealt less with the band and been around Jun-ko and Shouji alot more. But that wouldn't make a great story. <3 See 2 other replies

Art Geeks are more fun because they are not beholden to record execs and can pool their resources together to survive - so they get along better because they need each other. Nothing wrong with being successful and making money but in the case of the Band Geeks, it was more of a "decorated prison" life for them. They are more isolated, work harder, and are under a lot of pressure to keep up appearances. But all the characters are flawed and have lessons to learn. See 2 other replies

Nana not only fall for guys so easily but she has sex with guys just like that. Hoplessly romantic......

For lack of a better title:(Art Geeks: Junko, Kyosuke, Soshi, Sato, and Sachiko; Band Geeks: Nana O., Yasu, Nobuo, Shin, Manager-san, Michiko, and Trapnest)

Their both pretty different when it comes to humor, so I'd imagine the two different groups of friends would appeal to different people.

Personally, I can't see why Hachiko would choose the Band Geeks over the Art Geeks. The Band Geeks always have some sort of dramatic issues and feel down and moody with each other. But The Art Geeks will get irritated at each other, then make up the next day at Jacksons- in fact, it's rare that they actually get angry for that long, mostly they just tease each other. But with the Band Geeks you've got people avoiding each other (successfully, unlike Soshi TRYING to avoid people -_-'), people yelling at each other, and all sorts of things like that. But I'm sure that some people like the Band Geeks better? I just don't see why XD

If I had to be friends with one group or another, I'd definitely choose the Art Geeks, even if it did mean I wouldn't get to hang out with famous people. If Hachiko had hung out more with them and less with the Band, I also think she probably would have ended up more, ah, fortunate (no spoilers....).
