I think if you're a fan of Woody Allen, or you enjoy going to the theatre, I think you'll like this film since it's essentially a play on film. If you prefer your entertainment if compact 3 1/2 bite-size chunks, this probably isn't for you. It's well-written, intelligent, funny and I think, very well acted. I was laughing out loud, so, to me, the actors were doing their jobs. The story is deceptively thick - There's a lot going on in there, thematically. I think this film also nicely captures the look and feel of New England in the winter. The photography is striking, and I think the use of black and white really reflects the state of the characters - because black and white isn't black and white, it's various shades of gray. Perfect for characters that lie to each other, themselves and are a generally confused and conflicted bunch. It's clear they didn't have a lot of money, but I was pleasantly surprised.
