That was good, some people comment about not liking this show, but some of the humor is made up of spoofs (which they probably didn't catch). For instance, this particular episode is a spoof of Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window. The series in its entirety is a spoof of MASH. This spoof takes more of a sub-role, or is rather an allusion to such a famous and respected works. It's little things, such as the relationships or roles, and more blatantly, the way the woman communicates random, but humorous messages over the com system between scenes. Take a close look and you'll begin to see the homage to MASH and other great works in television/film.
Too bad it didn't make it. I really enjoyed this.

I agree about Eddie Alvarez, he has an ego not because he thinks hes the hottest guy in the precinct, its because hes insecure and lonely. I do agree with Perrineau but he does freak out less than he did in lost, 42 42 42, My son My son My son. Gets old fast.

However the point of the show is that everybody on the team is not your typical Cop, They all have secrets.

OK, so maybe I would have liked a better name for the series, but everything else was in the groove. Why is it so much crap survives to fill our days with the mundane, while the really great productions are dropped for no apparent cause?

There are plenty of people that don't bother turning on a TV because they know they can find better entertainment on the Internet. I don't own a television and I don't need or use cable TV channels.

Well, it looks like how you FEEL doesn't sync up with reality too well. I mean, Perrineau progressively flipped out more and more for far more episodes on Lost, so this honestly seemed like a step DOWN in anxiousness for a character from that actor. It seemed like his story line DID go somewhere a bit, this week, which is frankly a lot farther than most characters would develop over only 8 episodes.
Also, "Eddie Alvarez" has an ego not because he was born with magazine looks, but because he's clearly desperately insecure, as this episode manages to explain sufficiently out of the character's own mouth.

While I do agree with you that there was something unimpressive about this episode, the rest of the episodes have been AWESOME so far. It is called "The Unusuals" for a reason...they're not normal stories or characters...they defy stereotypes and what you'd expect. That's what makes this show so great. This episode did seem out of character though...

This show is great.
Why isn't it on network TV?

So many great actors--Adam Goldberg, Jeremy Renner (Hurt Locker), Terry Kinney & Harold Perrineau, Jr (Oz)...how can a show go wrong with such talent.

I've always been a "Law and Order" junkie, but after decades of watching L&O, it's great to have another show that measures.

It's shot in the East Village, my neighborhood which I love. It has all the grit and humor I've learned to expect from our NYC streets-in this case from the perspective of quirky, 'unusual' cast of precinct cops.

Love it. Want more.
