Man, i really really enjoyed this film. I loved the characters, loved the story. Acting wasn't always the best, in my opinion most of the actors/actresses were either really good or pretty good. Some of the smaller role actors kinda killed their characters in my humble opinion. As far as cinematography goes i'm half and half. Some scenes were run of the mill indie film regurgitated ideas, but some i felt were so so so original and turned out great. I gave it 5 stars because i felt the story and the characters shine through the few bad actors and annoyingly overused ( waking up, coffee brewing, opening the newspaper, slamming the door in about 5 seconds) rapid switching scenes. I'll watch it again for sure. I kinda want to watch it right now. Did i mention the story was amazing?
I agree 100 percent. The acting was all relevant to the characters. Sure, they could have cut out John's over-use of expletives, but it wouldn't seem real at all. The guy was in the pits and he knew it. And, it would have seemed really corny, or not as purposeful, if he were just sitting there whispering shoot, crap, d***, or even s***. It wouldn't fit his character at all. If you don't want your kid hearing such violent expletives, then don't let them watch unrated movies before you watch them in full on your own. Another character to consider might be Weave. Because of all her interactions are with children, Emma, and Ink (who, in someways, is like a lost child), she has to be a character within a character. We all know that while dealing with children, we take on slightly different selves, so that the child can feel safe or comfortable with us. I think that's what Weave had to do. And, that would make the acting seem like she was acting for or towards children. Which makes it all the more real. She isn't acting for the movie viewers. She's acting for the children around her (Emma, and Ink mainly), to keep them in a state of trust. Speaking of Emma - I thought her performance was brilliant. I've never seen a movie where a child acts so perfectly for the role she's given. I was really surprised. Really good.

i thought this was one of the most original, beautifully shot movies i've ever seen. the story was great, the acting all around was incredible, and the whole movie itself kept me glued to the screen from beginning to end. an excellent example of hat movie making can be. 5 stars isn't enough. i'll watch it again and again.
I have to say I really didn't think it would be that great but the story,It moved me just like the movie "what dreams may come" This on of them movies you have to think about,But I got it from the start, still I'd see it again
