It's more complicated than that. Takayuki has always loved Mitsuki and vice versa. The only reason he dated Haruka was because Mitsuki asked him to date her friend. He essentially dated Haruka FOR Mitsuki. He wasn't even interested in Haruka when he started dating her. Then things got even more complicated with the accident.   See 5 other replies

Agreed I hate Mitsuki, she's a w h o r e, and selfish. And Takayuki only liked her because of the way she threw herself at him, she's a piece of a**, and once she started being all kind to him he figured he was in love,lame. You should see their public service announcement posters.I would expect something like a surgeon generals warning... Instead I saw a post that had in large print "Are you a good smoker" in English on it. And a crowd of Japanese people [where none are smoking]. At first i thought it might mean not smoking is the best way... I found out it was for a campaign on being a polite [good] smoker. The point of the poster is they weren't smoking in the middle of a crowd bothering other people.When I'm there again I'm totally going to buy all my american smoking friends the pocket ashtrays that most Japanese have.   See 1 other reply

I see what you are saying with this. As it was clear that Mitsuki had feelings for Takayuki even before she set him up with her friend Haruka. And she was clearly struggling with her feelings, imagine a high school girl struggling with their feelings...As a side note though, she didn't exactly pounce right after the coma. Rather she helped take care of Takayuki through the first year, and finally couldn't take it anymore. A wise choice? No. A realistic mistake... I would say yes. In a fairy tale world, Mitsuki never would have acted on her feelings, and Takayuki never would have, but if there is one thing this anime doesn't appear to be doing, is being a fairy tale world.So, no disagreement with what you said apart from the timing. I won't say anymore,as i'm not sure how far into the series you have made it :-) That should tell no more than past episode 5 when you posted :-)   See 5 other replies
