Well sure if you want to keep the "balance of nature" thing sure. And I guess rewarding Amsterdam with a curse for saving them makes sense. But if a bunch of white men with powerful weapons were trying to destroy your way of life, would they not make a couple of immortal warriors to fight em off? See 2 other replies

Maybe they didn't WANT to live forever. I've know a few "native Americans" (which isn't true, but that's the current PC term) and 'living forever simply wouldn't occur to them any more than a pure green sky or a pink buffalo...wouldn't make sense. Would have been a curse as much as a gift. Could have made a whole damned season out of investigating whether his "blessing" was really that. Writers were to shallow though...well better luck next time around. See 2 other replies

And, "Sarge" aside she was also the Prohibition Era 'actress' he stole from. Look at the chin/jawline. Same person. They were definitely looking at a connection there. For all we know she could have been as immortal as he was. See 3 other replies

Well in Law Enforcement they do call them sarge just like calling your Lieutenant you can also call them LT and cops like the N.Y.P.D. are not the miltary. See 3 other replies
