After watching this series I am convinced that whatever corrections officers make, it is not enough. We all celebrate when violent criminals are locked up and sent away, but we forget that it has to be the responsibility of *someone* to then deal with these people on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis. Corrections officers are right up there with teachers in terms of not getting the respect and honor they deserve.
Also, the guy who has been locked up for 35 of his 50 years is just so heartbreaking I don't know where to begin. To resign oneself to being a professional inmate is a sad sad thing.
