Death Row should be a place where the condemned spend at most a few months if they filed an appeal. Then they should be executed. Also all murderers/Muslim terrorists and rapists should be executed. I agree that Guantanamo should be closed because there should be no need for it as they should all be executed by public hanging after military trial.

I'm elated to see the prisoners they interviewed who blame themselves for their actions and have remorse for their actions. I also like their "you gotta have a program" idea. These men strike me as intelligent and could make a real functional person of themselves if they only tried. Then you see the inmates who are ignorant and don't give a s*it about anything. The gang members are usually these inmates. I think the term "gang" and "cult" should be synonymous... That prison is old and makes me have this creepy feeling. It does look like a dark ages castle.Conjugal visits are a joke. The government feels to give a right to couples that are incarcerated as those who are not.(mind you only heterosexual couples....) What if a female inmate gets pregnant? Now my tax dollars get to pay for amazing prenatal care for a mother who didn't give 2 shakes before coming to jail. The child suffers...I don't think sexual acts should be allowed in these visits. You lose that privilege when you commit crime.

I have watched a number of these specials on prisons, but Folsom has been the scariest. Referring to some tiers as dog runs, how really profound that was,...if one is claustiphobic(sp), Folsom is even scarier. How very small the cells were, were bad enough,....but the tier walk areas looked as they were onl 4 or 5 feet wide, as if no two people could pass one another. That basement area, so dark and dank looking,.....this film made me think of some of the wild azz youth that run the streets today, should see this Folsom documentary,....or even better, spend the night there. Some of these prisoners, incarcerated for what I consider very stupid mistakes,.......not murder, rape, molestations, armed robbery , etc,....should be considered for parole,....the sentences seemed a little stiff for possession. Overcrowding in prisons? someone with power might reconsider the sentencing. It was interesting that the blond female guard (didn't catch her name) was so very calm and dedicated to her job. I sure hope the pay is well worth it. It was also interesting how hispanic coorection officers there were who worked there.
Although this was filmed a number of years ago, it was still VERY enlightening.
