It wasn't a good movie but the wonder about the how Santa will encounter the martians kept me watching. It would have been funny it this movie was made as a new age comedy. I can see Will Ferrell playing the main martian.

When I was a child going to the movies was an event in itself. The theaters were big, one-movie houses with cartoons before the movies and trailers (where they belong-hence trailers) afterwards. During the holiday season there was always a matinee on Saturday afternoon of some holiday film made by an independent company. Here in NYC we would sometimes have the actors come by before the show. Such was the case with SCCTM. All the children in the neighborhood were singing; 'S-A-N-T-A--C-L-A-U-S--Hooray for Santa Clause" that whole season.

The film is of poor quality, but it is forever linked to my childhood, so it gets a good thumbs up from me. Thanks Hulu.

Mention it and it is done. I reviewed this movie in comparison to the MST 3K version, and what happened? Hulu posted five MST movies!! (Not this one, but it's available on Google Video.) The MST movies are in the "Hulu for the Holidays" section.

Anyone who enjoys 'so bad they are good' movies should give this movie a try.

I've heard about it, via it's title, as far back as I can recall. However, never watched it until today (nursing a cold).

I was surprised that I watched the whole thing! Anyone who considers 'Plan 9 From Outer Space' worth watching should also watch this.

Give it a try! It's so bad, you'll love it!

I'm off to watch the MST 3K version now.
