Fran tries to discover her inner karma at the advise of her disapproving friend Eva. Bernard finds proof positive that Manny is mad. And Manny discovers a new found confidence and his ‘inner king’.Hide Description
When asking for a definition of "prehensilizing," do you mean that in the connotative or denotative sense? In the latter sense, he's banning customers from taking books off the shelves with their tail.In the former sense, he's probably trying to avoid people with needy/grabby personalities. Or it might be a more specific warning to Fran and Manny not to bother him with banal conversations (unless it's about Bernard's Croatian lordship ;-).

Do we have a definition (even if it's one made up by Bernard) for "prehensilizing? I know it's made up, but I'm curious to see if anyone has an answer! In case you were wondering, it's a rule on the chalkboard in the background.
K M, thanks for the link. Interesting read. I asked about the tax, because I noticed Black Book episodes are about 24 minutes, indicating they are broadcast with commercials. I thought Channel 4 was part of the BBC (synonymous with BBC4--oops!), but now I realize Channel 4 is independent. So, if you don't watch BBC stations, you still have the privilege of supporting the BBC and watching commercials on the stations you like. I'm glad America's TV tax for public broadcasting is hidden in our income taxes, so we don't know how much we're really paying to watch!

The tax is on TV in general, not just colour TV, though the cost is more for the colour. And yes, I believe the tax is still in effect. I guess it is the UK's way of funding public broadcasting.

Tags are user-generated labels related to this video or show that can help you discover related videos on Hulu. Check the tags you feel are most appropriate for this video or add your own (the number in parentheses indicates how many other users have used that tag.) To find other videos with similar tags, simply click on the tag that interests you most.
Tags are keywords or category labels that can help you and others find videos on Hulu. They also classify videos for later recall. You can tag videos yourself by simply checking the box next to a popular tag for a video or by using the "add" field to create a new tag. Click on any tag — "comedy" for example — to discover other videos similarly tagged by you or other users. Because tags are reviewed by Hulu, there may be a delay in surfacing your tags. The most relevant tags are sorted by category for the rest of Hulu to see. You may assign up to 30 tags for any video or show; to review all of your tags, see the Tags section on your profile page.
Your tags may be visible to other users on Hulu. You should not use:
Profane or obscene language
Tags that are inciting or spiteful
Tags that might harass, abuse or threaten members of the community
Tags that may reveal your personal information or any personal information about children under age 13
Tags that promote illegal or immoral conduct
Tags containing special characters or more than 50 characters
