All I have to say is that it is very strange for me to see anyone say anything negative about this show.

The show has promise but I could not get past the stupid laugh track. It really took away from the show.

I wanted to like it , I really did... this is actually the second go that I've given it. Maybe it gets better but (if this pilot episode is indicative of the rest of the series) it's just not that funny. It's all too predictable and formulaic and the characters seem cut out of cardboard. The laugh tracks are included, seemingly because there's very little to actually laugh at, so the writers are determined to let you know where they made an attempt at a joke. Suggestions for far better BBC material: Peep Show, Spaced, Misfits, All Creatures Big and Small, Skins, The Office (of course), Are You Being Served, Monty Python, the list goes on and on...

Well there is that and the fact that Bill Bailey is in both and oh Simon Pegg shows up in this later as well. Other than that it has nothing to do with Spaced at all.

After 5 min i had to shut this off due to the circa 1975 laugh track. Really does a person need to be told when something marginally funny is LOL riotous?
