Actually, that's overly critical given some of the other work I've seen in this genre. It wasn't that bad. Character portrayals were reasonable although the director should be slapped for some of the lines and delivery he forced Mr. Neame into. Some of the sorcery effects were nice but then they had a make-up artist that should have been flogged for the creature in the opening sequence and the 'variant' version that Lord Tancred was turned into. The storyline was a bit shallow but over all, I laughed and was entertained. It got me in the mood to play WoW.

This is interesting to me. It is not a high budget series, but it is interesting. I will watch many of the episodes and each one gets better.

Why did Ivanhoe mount up and ride away? He had his family, troops loyal to King Richard, why not stay and use them to help? (Other then the obvious reason as that wouldn't be the small group adventure show.)

For what it's worth, it seemed fine. I liked the story, and it was nice to see more in this genre. I plan on watching all of them.
