Or you'll let someone else in....The title refers to a classic Vaudeville comic shtick, pulled off really effectively in this film. This is a very surprising Hindi comedy , with no song and dance numbers, or any of the over the top acting that is the common fare of Bollywood comedies.
In this movie, a group of amateur kidnappers break into a suburban home in a previously upscale neighborhood, in order to use it as a hide out, while waiting for their victim's rich father to come up with the ransom money they are demanding. In the meantime, there is much scheming on everyone's part, as new characters keep getting added to the group of hostages whenever someone else shows up at the front door.
The acting was really well done--with just enough goofiness but not too much exagerration, and the script was pretty solid. Great production values--and the lighting and camera work are all part of the comic effect also, as the whole thing is shot as if it was a serious film noir or action thriller. Really a great sense of humor brought to this production on many levels!
I recommend this as an intro to Hindi film watching. . . . before you get into the heavy Bollywood stuff.
