I was excited to see that Hulu had several CNBC "documentaries" available, since I had never watched a CNBC special. I assumed, incorrectly, that this documentary would have some sort of interesting angle on Coke. Instead, this meandering infomercial provides almost no information for anyone other than marketing students. I wouldn't mind that so much if CNBC had titled this documentary as "The History of Coca-Cola's Marketing Strategy" or "Why Americans Love Coke." But I expected a documentary on a "news network" to present, like, news...or at least a coherent story. Instead, this was a puff piece that seemed eerily like a real-life Coke's brilliant, subliminal marketing strategy. Does anyone know if all CNBC documentaries are this 2-dimensional? Should I bother watching another one?
