Re: FOX canceling the show

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised (Firefly comes to mind), but I'm really disappointed about FOX canceling "New Amsterdam." It was a very interesting and intriguing show - you've got the crime procedural aspect, flashbacks to the past that illuminate Amsterdam's past and how the past is connected to the present, unique insight into humanity and what makes us human and life meaningful, and more. I'll miss not knowing what would have happened next.

Don't Cancel!!!!

I love this show. It address the very core of what makes us human and what makes life worth living. Having Amsterdam as an immortal brings the very unquic aproach to answering the value of life.

Don't cancel please!

This is a great show. I like the flashbacks. It just shows that the character is learning from the past and using it to solve the current cases. He may be immortal, but he is still human

an original tale well told

how funny the human race is to see the possibilities of immortality via television and discover our own demons....this series MUST stay if only because of the creative way humanity is examined through this medium. who says this isn't a 'reality' show after all? kudos to the writers and actors; i've fallen in love with their portrayals of each character.

hope it stays

I love this show which instantly makes me worry that the network will cancel it. Not sure why they cancel the best shows and keep the worst... well, i know its all numbers but still... this is an awesome show about immortality that thankfully doesn't deal with Vampires.
