i kept waiting for at least one of the yes men to talk about being brought up on charges or thrown in jail. maybe that's a knee-jerk reaction, thinking that anyone who thumbs their nose at the rich and their "institutions" in such a crude and disdainful manner would feel the full force of their power. the movie was nicely done, but it was the content that makes it a winner. just hearing that their are upper and middle class white men who do NOT support what many in their socio-economic class are doing was thrilling - not to mention the way they are going about it!! switching the voice boxes of g.i.joes and barbie dolls was hilarious. giving a straight-faced presentation (along with an animated visual aide) on using mcdonald's to serve recycled s h i t to 3rd world countries was OFF THE HOOK! the looks on some of those students' faces ... that someone could have the audacity to talk boldly about what mcdonald's is "technically" doing anyways... seriously though, luring indigenous people away from their native diet and giving them cheaply made hamburgers (which are not always made from beef) and french fries is not that much different. the yes men have got stones, no two ways about it!
