I had always wondered how such a great show could be canceled. Only seeing episodes hear and there, I thought (and still think) that the show is fantastic. However, after seeing the episode where Karen dies, I can see why the show's ratings plummeted. As much as death is a hard fact of reality, to see a character so young and with such a bright future ahead of her be killed, genuinely upsets people to see. The way they did her funeral was good, but the way their emotions were and how they reacted seemed fake, or insincere. I kept waiting for her to get up and say "Gotcha!". I couldn't believe that they would allow that to happen. Also, I don't necessarily blame the writers, this may have been the result of the actress wanting to take a different career path. The show is still great, but I feel that the show lost a lot of viewers after this particular episode.
