I gave the series a chance, even though all plots so far are predictable at best, but this episode got me pissed off.
In every instance, swat takes position and waiting for a go and then the good'ol negotiator saves the day every time and at time putting his/her self in the line of fire on every occasion. And then swat goes home to polish their guns. That is just hollywood feel good drama at work and not even a mere reflection of real life. The series has strong guest stars who will no doubt have their own lead on other shows, but I have yet to be surprised by the lead cast. Not their fault am sure... as the writing seems rudimentary and just a volute structure with an occasional complex plot deriving to the same outcome.
For this particular episode I was angry at our protagonist's constant irritation to himself and his surroundings and over the top dramatization by secluding his partner and jeopardizing his job while endangering his team members and didn't even get reprimand!! As for the writing and the too much "lifetime" drama... I just think less is more.
I still love the chemistry between Ron & Rosemarie and they make a terrific team... so am gona watch one more episode and see if the supporting cast is being given more substance that just a function.
