i usually love this show but this one simply sucked... oh poor porn industry. what about the social impact, either good or bad, regarding porn? legislation? effect on outside technology? so many things that could have happened in this documentary that were ignored. you fail... please try again.

Ever since then, with the advancements in technology, I can only imagine what will be next. Even though the industry has always been looked down upon, I feel that it does do a lot of good for many people. If a stripper in a club makes enough money to support her kid or be able to afford the high price of a good college, then I believe that woman is doing the right thing. There is the moral issue created by societies standards, but we do not live in the dark ages any more. More than half of all marriages fail, which often leaves a woman stuck with the kid and little or no support. Even if that woman chooses to get into the porn industry, I think she is doing what she needs to do to make it in this world. I know that these ladies have got me though some hard times and I appreciate their efforts.

First of all, if you're watching this video and you think porn is horrible, why are you watching? This program is not going to give you the affirmation you want.This is the kind of journalism I really applaud, and I was hoping for when I heard about Vanguard. Putzel does take up some screen time, but I feel that he presents the story cleanly and without bias. We've all seen stories on the news about how awful porn is and how it destroys people, but we seldom hear a pure response from the directors/managers/actors/techies behind porn. I was refreshed to hear them talk about it just like any other business: like the marketing director said, it's not really about porn. It's about helping a product reach an audience.I also loved how the subjects touched on how much technology has to do with their business. It's true that whenever there's a new development in technology, porn is there to pick up on it and utilize it. If only other industries were so on the ball.As far as the talk about piracy, it's a relevant subject. 60 Minutes recently aired an (incorrect and hilarious) episode about how pirated DVDs are hurting movie theatres. No matter what your stance on piracy is, whether it's hurting or helping anyone, it's affecting our entertainment, and it's interesting to see what effect that has on the people making porn. It's understandable that they would be worried that piracy and "gonzo-style" filmmaking are cutting into their developed industry, and I don't think at any point anyone in this segment oversteps themselves and says anything outlandish.The one correction I had was for Jessica Drake: she said that her tweeting about her daily life was something "you can't get for free." Sorry, Jessica, but Twitter IS free. I'm following you now, because so far your tweets look just like my other friends', and I want to follow celebrities who tweet like real people. :)
