I think the point is, those of us with brain cells in our heads are tired of seeing the blatant use of terrorism as a plot device in every single major network drama. The point of entertainment is to take us away from the concerns of our daily lives to a place where we can forget about the news, and the job, and the concerns and stresses of the daily grind. I don't want to tune from news about terrorism in the middle east to watch a show that's all about terrorism. To me, it's ridiculous to see a classic sci-fi show that had a message being co-opted in order to deliver what amounts to propaganda. But as long as I get to drool over Morena and see Laura Vandervoort in a bikini, it's not so bad I guess. I'll drink the Kool-Aid for a few more episodes. When you see these themes threading through multiple shows on major networks, one can't help but consider that it's nothing more than propaganda.   See 14 other replies
