I'm having a hard time believing that Al Gore said something stupid like that about ice in a cup of water, but it doesn't matter. The oceans are rising. Certain populated parts of the earth are disappearing right now, so ice in a cup of water is irrelevant. I saw a documentary on a tiny country somewhere that I'd never heard of and the people just have to leave. See 28 other replies

Nonsense. The "environmental movement" never "believed" that there was a new ice age coming. I vaugely remember this. Some scientist somewhere had a theory. It got some play in the media maybe ten years ago simply because it contridicted what everyone else was saying, and now it's being held up like it was once scientific gospel.

Al Gore first became interested in Global warming in college. I first heard about it in high school in the 1970s. That's how long they've been predicting what's happening now. Decades and decades.

Mass depopulation? Who is advocating mass depopulation? I've never heard of this so please tell me more. See 28 other replies

Nick, I think you are mis-representing the opposing view on this topic. Global Warming is a fact of science and without it the planet would be too cold for us to inhabit in many places (about 60 degrees F colder across the board. The debate is with regards to anthropogenic global warming and what exactly have humans contributed to global warming and whether it is enough to produce, as Al Gore stated "a string of terrible catastrophes." When ice melts in a cup of ice water it will not cause the cup to overflow with water as Al Gore has also stated. See 28 other replies

Off topic I will admit, but be fruitful and multiply was a ploy by the rich sold to the poor. Anyone from a big family knows how difficult it is for parents to do anything to change the world (outside of making sure their children are not horrible people) when they have 10+ children. The percentage of 'commoners' with 10+ children for the last thousand years compared to the number of people in the ruling class with 10+ children during that same period is outrageous. The less intelligent people were sold kool-aid to keep them down without knowing it, just like what's happening today. See 28 other replies

That is my fault for not stating that I do believe global warming exists. I tended to focus more on the fact that Al Gore may be right about it, but his actions don't necessarily scream out that he cares all that much. See 28 other replies
