I'm a late coming Whedon fan and an 80s X-fan.

Sure the animation takes getting used to, but so did the style of Bill Sinkewicz.

I'm with Tony on this one. i've been reading X-Men since I was a little kid. i haven't read the astonishing X-Men ever, but Joss Whedon is a good producer with much of his work. So, I jumped on this. It's a cool take on it. Chances are it will evolve into something we all like. Quit shooting things down before they start.

Whomp whomp. I'd much rather see an actual cartoon. Why don't they just re-run the 90s X-Men? I'd much rather watch that than this bull.

I loved the Astonishing X-Men when Joss wrote the first 25 issues... but... what the heck? What is this? Why? The animation sucks. It's like they cut out scenes from the comic, put the pieces on Popsicle sticks, and are giving us a puppet show. When I saw there was an animation I was soooo excited. I'd have been happy with crappy animation, as long as the story was there. Hell, even the 1990s animation would have been okay. The voice acting doesn't seem too bad so far. But... what the heck? It's like PBS story time or something. They killed it for me.

If your only knowledge of the X-Men is from a movie or a cartoon then you have nothing to add to this conversation. This is a pretty faithful adaptation of Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men, so no Storm isn't in this, and yes Beast looks like a cat well because in current continuity he looks like a cat. This is not for casual X-Men fans.

Epic fail? This is ppl with talent attempting to do to much. The thing i love so much about X-Men is how simple the concept is. Mutants learning about their abilities and using them for the greater good. Looking at this drives me insane. The dialogue is simply horrendous and the graphics just dont appeal. Yes its kinda going along with the comics but its a reason comic books dont move See 3 other replies

Good point. I remember the first x-men comic books catching me as a child, and the demographics seemed to target young boys. But then, I remember when cartoons were for kids too. Now the content is only available to people if they claim to be "of age?" (never mind that Hulu has no way of verifying age..I created a dummy email account for them just to avoid potential spam and provided no real personal info.)

Interesting that Family Guy et al doesn't come with this kind of labeling.
Guess I'm just an antique, but when did fart jokes become "mature humor, anyway?"

I digress. Ditto on the initial sentiment.
