"The Neurotic Detective" is not the usual formula. No murder, a little glitz, and a surprise ending.

"The Unlucky Gambler" was a little distressing, because an innocent man is wronged by the good guys, and a man being hunted down for gambling debts doesn't really get any help.

Occasionally even the mild fare of this series will prompt a disturbing dream, but I generally watch these for their hypnotic effect and a few minutes of bloodless intrigue where the good guys always win.
