This was really disappointing.
Apparently they could or would only get the rights to use a small selection of photos which they repeat over and over with little regard paid to either when the photos were taken or at what point during her story they appeared. This is particularly odd given the length of her career and the variety of images that are out there.
Also lacking was appropriate footage. They discussed her dancing (albeit only in relation to her tutelage of Mick Jagger), but where was the footage of her legendary legs in action?
There was surprisingly not a single mention of her conversion to the Buddist faith. This is a topic which was prominent in her own autobiography, so how is it that we hear nothing on the subject in Bio's version?
And to top it off, midway though they go off on this bizarre, unrelated tangent as a former Ikette regales us with her own streaky orange fake tan story.
This is decidedly the worst production I've seen from A&E. The Queen of Rock deserves better.
