The Hulu system stopped me at stage 2. It made me do a new review if I wished to comment at all, sorry!
I think Linda Mary's comments are in line my sentiments. A great show, almost especially the 3rd (and last) season! But from the beginning, there was something that just kept me watching.
To add to Linda Mary's,..... I totally loved, and subsequently enjoyed, both the introduction and continuation of the character "Havier", ..... + very much missed Schanke, + often thought the only time the Lead Actor showed excellent acting ability was in only a few episodes, including the "Demon" one, albeit not discounting a fairly likable, and nice-looking individual. The latter being a mostly well-written character in general, and pretty good acting, though not DeNiro, Pacino, or Hanks even, but good enough, and actually quite likable overall.
The series took age-old story-lines - the basis of which, BTW, have been recounted in every good series before and after it. Organ Donors, HIV, oh just too many, all of them in fact. Every series does it - the interest is mostly in HOW they do it, always different, and this series, (okay GEE), I wish had lasted at least 2-3 more seasons!
I've become a HUGE Lacroix fan. Hate him one episode, like him the next. Mostly dislike character NAT except for the medical help, not the medical help her character is WANTING to do, but what she (character-wise) actually CAN do, medically speaking ... ie, several episodes, including the FEVER .
Mostly, under what influence and it's consequences, we lost a very VERY good show. USA is usually good (at least in THIS decade), in keeping shows alive that would have died a first year death on regular network. In this case, I wish the newly coined SYFY network would pick it up again, though I know I'm dreaming on that, eh?
My favorite episode? The one I most remember - a crazy one, cos I'm a dog lover - was (I think) ... Called Blind Faith, - about the Seeing Eye Dog. I know dogs are loyal (AND SPOILER ALERT), the flashback didn't end so well for my favorite personal breed (Rottweiler, back Nick's history flashes). However, it ended better in the present day. And the actor that plays Lacroix - perfection for the part!!!! He scares me to pieces, and yet in the story, it turns out - give and take on both parts. Love the Night Crawler Radio (hypnotic) spots. Kewl. Thanks HULU. Believe it or not, I'm watching all these weird things: (a grouping of favorites that do not have a cohesive property perhaps?)
AS IN, ie., ..... Supernatural to ....Desperate Housewives, Lie To Me, Sanctuary, Bones, Perry Mason, Vampire Diaries (CW), Eastwick (I heard not renewed), Eureka, The Closer, Leverage, Murder She Wrote, CASTLE, Angel, Charmed, Chuck, Hawthorne, "V", and True Blood, Dexter, just to really round out a crazy collection of my preferences!!! Did I mention Dark Shadows?, Ironside? Kitchen Nightmares? The Practice, and several CSI (NEW YORK, LAS VEGAS ESP.), and a couple Law & Order, Boston Legal,
Kyle XY, Roswell, and wow I do have a weird set of tastes?
