==Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady was the first of two TV films made in late-1990 under the banner Sherlock Holmes the Golden Years. Harry Alan Towers was executive producer. Bob Shayne the writer.It featured Christopher Lee and Patrick Macnee as Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson as elderly gentlemen getting involved with Balkan terrorists and meeting again with “The Woman” the actress and leading lady Irene Adler played by Morgan Fairchild.==So there is a reason that Holmes and Watson are older in this version... and it does kind of remind me of going to my nan's house and watching Guiding Light with her in the early 90s... not the best, but it was made for TV... what do you expect?

Christopher Lee is too old and wrinkly to play Sherlock Holmes, though he is a fine actor.. Morgan Fairchild played a long lost friend of Holmes Irenea Adly (not sure about the spelling) Sherlock Holmes call her "The One or the Woman" I don't remember which. He had been in love with her for years. Morgan Fairchild was too young to play Holmes long lost love who was a criminal and they make her an opera star who did not look like she did her own singing. Patrick Macnee from "The Avengers" is also to old to play these parts. The story line in this picture is very confusing too many people going in and out of scenes, so many names etc. There was also simulated sex scenes in this one and the Incident at Victoria Falls which was never in any of the Holmes movies. In this one the Fairchild's clothing was too tight and to low she looked like her boobs were going to bust. I found this movie tacky and it should be rated PG-13

This is some of the worst acting I've seen in a long time! Morgan Fairchild is so hammy as to be pathetic. What a disappointment for a Sherlock Holmes film. What in the world were they thinking? Stay away from this stinker. It's a waste of your time!

This reminded me of Diagnosis Murder... Anyone else get that?
