and just like I said, if they weren't illegal, they wouldn't have to be sold on the black market and therefore wouldn't bring such high prices plus a percentage of the profits could be used for reforestation, conservation and more environmentally friendly collection tactics, not to mention that it would no longer fund criminal activity. While It's great that they are bringing attention to rainforest destruction they focused just as much on how the drug trade is fueling that destruction. Even the episode name focuses on that aspect. Rudy, if "talking about the environmental effects of the drug trade is not being pro-prohibition, it is being realistic" then I suppose it's also realistic to talk about the effect of vasoline production and equate it with the entire oil supply and pollution issue being as how it is made from petroleum.
