Yes... For my tastes, this was the best movie I've watched on Hulu. And the songs stayed in my mind for almost a week afterwards. I'm really grateful Hulu has put a number of foreign film / love stories on. Beautiful characters, tragic story, overall great.

Waahh!! What a spiritual and saintly story of love. A love that fills you up with light. I had tears in my eyes at many times in the story. One thing I would like to point out from the movie is that we people start creating all these rituals and dogmas such as worshiping statues and building temples after the saints leave but we forget that God is not anywhere else but within our self. So "seek and ye shall find" as Christ had told us but don't wander looking for God outside in forests and mountains. He is closer than we think. And please don't take my comment as offensive. I do not mean to disrespect anyone and if I did it by accident I apologize.

of Benares......Kashi, the old city by the Ganga, itself is really the star of this film. It is shot so beautifully. While this isn't the usual Bollywood fare, even those who love typical Hindi cinema will like this film: with its deep religious message, its star-crossed romance, plenty of musical numbers, and an amazingly happy ending. Even so, this film appeals to a more westernized aesthetic, in terms of the script and the acting style. It really is an overall winner, and I am so glad that I saw it. Now I am thinking of using it in my Religion courses (I am a college professor), because it gives a wonderful introduction to some of the basic concepts of Upanisadic thought, as well as giving a terrific visual view of many ritual elements of contemporary Hinduism--all well integrated into an enjoyable and watchable feature film.

This film is really able to portrait the very basic concept of every religion. I like the bonding in relationship, the nature and need of forgiveness, the idea of eternity of life.

A story of love, redemption and forgiveness in the light of Hindu faith. Wonderful film. Soundtrack, photography, acting, all well done. The singing is phenomenal.

A really beautiful film, great music and cinematography. Must watch!
