Hulu - Banaras: A Mystic Love Story - Watch the full feature film now.

Went there in Nov 08. Great to see the City again. Sarnath, where they shot the Stupa scenes is just a suburb of Banaras. Strong Buddhist history. They covered a lot of Holy places. Good shot of Manikarnika Ghat where the cremations take place. I recommend seeing it in person!

If you open the ears and eyes of your heart, you will see clearly.

How wonderful to be a college professor of religion. I hope you teach your students to seek the metaphors in what they are reading. Also, of primary importance is to help those develope the eyes and ears of their hearts. Otherwise, the truth is impossible to see or understand clearly. Then, there are some things that just cause one to "breath".

This has to be one of the best movies I have seen. The metaphor of mystical love is absolutely clear. I do hope that this movie has helped put some people on the path to "enlightenment." For me, the message was absolutely clear. One God, One Love, One people. I'm not a mystic, but I have had a few mystical experiences. If we all could devote ourselves to live in love, to walk in love and forgiveness, what a wonderful world it would be. You don't have to come from any paticular faith to walk in love. Universal love can be the faith. If we all could only know this love!

Cinematography is very beautiful. Story is slow and unbelievable. Acting is pretty awful.
They could have done a much better job with better screen writing and better acting.
Terribly boring movie.

Yes... For my tastes, this was the best movie I've watched on Hulu. And the songs stayed in my mind for almost a week afterwards. I'm really grateful Hulu has put a number of foreign film / love stories on. Beautiful characters, tragic story, overall great.

Waahh!! What a spiritual and saintly story of love. A love that fills you up with light. I had tears in my eyes at many times in the story. One thing I would like to point out from the movie is that we people start creating all these rituals and dogmas such as worshiping statues and building temples after the saints leave but we forget that God is not anywhere else but within our self. So "seek and ye shall find" as Christ had told us but don't wander looking for God outside in forests and mountains. He is closer than we think. And please don't take my comment as offensive. I do not mean to disrespect anyone and if I did it by accident I apologize.
