This film creeps up on you. I'll admit when I first tried to watch this, I could not get into it. Today I stumbled upon this again and finished it. It's a beautiful film. It'll make you look over your own beliefs on love. It was refreshing, and I really enjoyed it. Maybe I wasn't ready to uncover this movie before, but now I plan on reading the book too. Love is a difficult thing to understand and this movie makes a point of it.

So there's a great and untrue observation from the movie. He's got poor boundaries. She's, I don't know and idealistic ... dull. She's too young for him. Tom's mom is quite the character and her mom, I don't know ... dull. Recipe for disaster.

Loved the movie, nice rainy day chick flick. But that soundtrack ! Can't believe it is not all on one cd for purchase .....I want it

It was a really good love story. I give this movie 2 thmbs up. It is a good good movie to watch with your better half.

I really liked this movie. I stuck with it, and it was surprisingly refreshing.

Some people have rated this movie rather low and some of their comments I agree with, but the overall movie left a very nice feeling and I enjoyed it so much. It is rather inspirational. It's a tad slow in some parts of the movie, but I actually thought that depicted life as it really is. A lot of times the movies make life seem more of a whirlwind than it really is. The filmmakers told beautiful stories of love and the human struggle with it. The only thing I found odd about the movie, or wondered if I was missing the point of it was the music they were playing throughout the film. Normally, film music matches the time period or setting, matches what is going on and the haunting ethnic melodies didn't seem to fit sometimes. Maybe I missed something there. Having said that however, I truly loved this film. Magnifico! P.S. Other reviewers said they didn't laugh at all at this movie, but I did find several charming or funny moments where I laughed. Very enjoyable and poignant.
