Two people who quit their lucrative jobs to run a charity are just not thinking straight, particularly in this economy. They are both able to work, and don't. They put their family second to--run a charity, and I just don't know what to think. People who can work shouldn't be rewarded with a free house. I'm sorry, but that's just how I feel. Most of the people on this show are very deserving; someone is disabled, or sick child, high medical bills, etc. But this family? Nothing wrong with them! Get a job, and run the charity on the side. Again, that's just me.

So two people, who quit work and who don't take care of their own family first, are portrayed as "heroes"? First of all, you can't be "proud" of something that you know you didn't earn, you can't be "proud" of a house that is given to you. Secondly, they quit their work and have given up "materialism", so they can help others be materialistic with second hand goods. What's the point in that?And there always was the Salvation Army, whatever second hand goods that are going through their store are goods that aren't going through the SA. They haven't actually ADDED anything to the pot. They've just arranged things so they can take some of the credit for it-and at the expense of their own family-shameful.I guess they could have just worked for the SA but their salaries probably would have been a lot lower. So how good are they really? They will always have the "worries', even more so now because now they don't know they can do it on their own, and that they are dependent on others. This show is just a lot of feel good, schmalzy nonsense.

I loved this episode. Not only was it honoring someone in my home state, but my mom and step dad are the ones that helped make the tractor bed.
