Can be used interchangeably, although that particular style (trilby) generally has a narrower brim and deeper pinch to the crown. Also called pork pie. Well done. I missed the other owners because I skimmed. I went back and read your second to last post and I commented because I thought you were refering to the networks and Hulu as seperate entities that sold rights to the latter. I was mistaken. Your original hypothesis stands. Hulu is funded by ads. On the other hand, this is by no means certain to continue. If they could charge a subscription fee, they could make even more money,which they are legally bound to their stockholdres to do. The trick is not alienating to many of your customers so that it offsets the bottom line.What I'm saying is Hulu is a platform where the networks can still court ad dollars that are abandoning regular TV. That is the main reason for its existence. It happens to be free now. Free samples to get a user addicted...
Early cable did not start out advertising it's own shows to the degree it does today. The excuse they used was infrastructure fees that accompanied the higher quality reception that cable offered based on the cost of tech at the time.
