I am not the biggest fan of Tom Brokaw, but his book "the Greatest Generation" honestly changed my outlook on life. This clip/documentary is good, but the book goes so far beyond "good" (it's a must read for any American). I think that most people of my generation don't understand the sacrifice that our grandparents made. I encourage everyone and anyone who reads this review to read his book. I can only intellectually comprehend what my grandparents went through. After reading his book I asked my two living grandparents more about their lives during those times. At first they were very reluctant to talk about it, but later opened up more. It was a very sobering experience for me. I honestly agree with Mr. Brokaw that they were the Greatest Generation. I think that modern society has morphed and more and more people have forgotten out very recent past. I commend Hulu.com and NBC for putting this documentary on the internet. Thank you to Mr. Brokaw for his book and to NBC for airing this segment.
