I find it funny that the bad review are from people who are looking for entertainment and a good scare. As far as real investigations go, they're doing more than going in with fancy tools and a 'good story' to say 'yes it's haunted' or 'no it's not' - they're taking the time to truly investigate the background, the people, looking for corroboration, approaching each situation with a plan, they know their limits and seek help and advice from professionals and all with a goal of helping people. Oppression is what happens when a demon can't possess you. Either that person has a lot of prayer surrounding them for protection, or their home has been protected or blessed, or they are saved. Since the demonic force can't posses you, they affect your life by oppression, using outside forces to weigh you down, harass you.I think it should be a warning to anyone out there who dabbles in the occult on any level. It doesn't have to be deep black magic or witchcraft and summoning rituals... it could be something as seemingly innocent as recording activity.Seek and you shall find... be careful what you wish for... no matter which way you put it be careful. You don't know what you can open yourself up to and worst, you can release something that will bind itself to you and follow you.the problem with seeking the truth is that sometimes you find it...

I wish this show was better as it has the potential. After watching about a dozen episodes and giving it many chances, this show really aggravates me. They call eachother specialists but they all just follow eachother around like baby ducks all doing the same thing; looking clueless and blindly following the ring leader.

Hey i really like Paranormal State. And seriously if you didnt then why watch it? Dont you have better things to do in life then waste 22 minutes for something you dont even enjoy.. Sounds pretty stupid to me??

I can't even find the right words to say how much suck this show contains. People like this are what give skeptics a reason. The stories are always interesting enough on their own, but then these expressionless youngsters walk in to 'investigate' the air of credibility right out of the room. I couldn't believe it when I heard him say 'We decided to call it a night'....wait...what?!? You were in the garage for maybe an hour and didn't even bother to do anymore 'investigating'. Instead you side-saddled your show on the evidence gathered by your client. As researchers they should be going in there looking for alternative explanations independently and not just taking the word of someone else about what's going on. If this spirit was really that active they could have maybe gotten something better than an EVP if they had just f-ing looked! All the episodes I've seen so far just tell me that these are insanely gullible kids lacking common sense. A lot of people have a desire to understand this phenomena, but blindly believing everything that's presented or told to you is not the way to do it. Anyway, my opinion is that this show should go the way of its findings and just not exist.
