As a believer myself I've always thought it annoying when non-believers, atheists especially, criticize us for both restricting ourselves by living a certain way or limiting the entertainment we choose to associate ourselves with because of our beliefs, and for freeing our selves from our ignorant critics and being justified by the grace of god. Either way they will call us ignorant for the simple fact that it makes them feel better about themselves. It doesn't make too much sense to me, but whatever floats your boat I suppose. I love the show! It's probably one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. I think the fact that every character in the show is the epitome of everything a human being shouldn't be is exactly what makes the show a success.   See 7 other replies

And let me just say that I am PROUD and pleased as punch that I didn't have to come to this message and defend my position...the other two posters took it upon themselves to do so for me. I love this country. Yeah, you have the right to think I'm ignorant for believieng in God. So what? You saying that isn't going to make me STOP believing in Him. No way, no how. And I have the right to still enjoy a show that takes the Lord's name in vain. However, I don't have to agree with or condone the usage. Now, I'm not going to boycott the show and launch a writing campaign to the network to have the show cancelled. I love this show. I just disagree w/ two words being used frequently and wanted to see if anyone else noticed it too. And just as Zach stated, they present topics in such a way that there is no way you can take what they do or say seriously, but when they say G.D. it's makes me cringe. I get that they are trying to be inappropriate, I like the show because of that fact. But it still stings. It's just a personal preference. I'm not ignorant for having a preference for not wanting to hear or say G.D just as you are not ignorant for having a preference for anything you like over something else. I'm not putting the show down as a whole; that is just going to have to be something that I am going to have to over look in general.   See 7 other replies

Maybe you should consider the fact that the cast is satirizes all these things in such a ridiculous way that no one takes it seriously, but a curse word out of context can still sting.
