Just in case you are interested...the bank they mention (The Bank of Calif.) merged with Union Bank in 1996. The bank was est. in 1864 and was the first commercial bank in the Western US. and located at the corner of Sansome & Calif. St. in San Francisco. The Bank of California financed a number of mining operations of the Comstock Lode, and repossessed some mines when their owners defaulted, and ultimately generated enormous profits as a result. Some of the loans were designed to lead to these defaults.
A little déjà vu with today’s housing loans.

Once again sombody & Chito have saved the day. Robert Mitchum was even good in his
"B" movie days. And two great character actors,BIG BOY Williams & Harry Woods (king of the "B" movie bad guys) I wonder how many sidkicks Richard Martin had in his carrer? Chito was always a sidekick for somebody,but they never had the same name in any two movies.I like these flicks more now that I ever did.

Great story telling, movies should be made like this once again

The best part is that this movie presents the real nature of most lawyers: scammers, criminals, Thieves. Lawyers shouldn't be making more than $50 an hour for justifiable work. (The Judicial System is killing USA: costing more than a trillion dollars because of the loopholes, fees, bad intent delays, red tapes, etc).

Burridge has his man Powell kill Ide and retrieve the money, and Nevada finds Ide just as the posse arrives. Found with the money, Nevada is arrested and burridge now gets Powell to incite citizens to lynch Nevada.
