Ugh no females made it through? Wtf? Granted, this was as lot harder than apparently the police academies (if that even makes sense) but ugh seriously, no women? Hrm. Also...no black guys? Hrm. Just saying *shrugs* what do I know?

I like this side of it all, but First In:Compton Fire Department is waaaay better. It's nice to see what these fellas go through before they even get hired.

It's okay. The academy they're practicing in isn't completely off. It's all very para-military. But this whole thing seems very Hollywood.

Curiously enough, it looks like the fire department is much more selective than the police department shown previously. The recruits seem to be much more mature and physically prepared (I remember how many alternatively gifted and/or downright fat were among police recruits). In case of emergency I'd rather have these firefighters coming to my help.

My guess is that none got hired for this academy. Everyone looks for racism... sad that we still live in a society like this.

After having watched the past 2 seasons and the premier of season 3, I can finally say I am excited about a reality show. Most are pure garbage, but this seems to be as close to real life mark as television gets.
