For me it's Rathbone & his Watson & in 2nd-place-tie Brett, with his! I better grasp why it's so popular with us humans to become lifelong attached to whatever's initially familiarized.There's a line in 'Four and Twenty Blackbirds' (Christie-Suchet) when Poirot indicates that:..."...The mantle of life should fit like a well tailored suit of clothes; but it did not hang so well on that man in the restaurant."... And that is how Conan Doyle's literary characters fit these two sets of actor's portrayals! Thanks SO MUCH Hulu for bringing such fond young memories for revival enjoyment! What a treat!!! ~{^_^}~

You should. Skinner and Salter who did that score allegedly in a weekend in Nov 1941--all 63 minutes of it, retreaded it for at least 20-25 other flicks, to include the entire Sherlock Holmes series, and some of it that hit the cutting room floor in the original Wolfie, got used here and in the other dozen or so Holmes shows. Some so blatantly, you are taken out of the movie, if you're as nuts about the B's of Universal as I am.But not before I learned that rediculous detail, about a dozen times having seen these Rathbone classics. That only came later, on Shock Theatre in 1958, with Zacherle, the Cool Ghoul Roland, and his wife Isabel, leading me a merry chase.Back when the world was young, and dinosaurs ruled the earth.Enjoy!
