I, just like a good few of you, am also from the Tahoe area. Being born and raised in State Line, NV, I've seen pretty much all here is to see in the area. With this said, let us continue onto my commends on the trailer.
It looks interesting, another indy film, which in my opinion, usually are hit or miss. I cannot say from a trailer alone whether or not this film is good or not. The title of course is a bit confusing, and as any film studies major would know, the title has baggage and diction that help models the film as a whole. From looking around on what this film was about, where it takes place (being confused about the whole 'Lake Tahoe' title of course) I find that it all revolves around a small town in Mexico. Now, there is not another Lake Tahoe in the world, but the kid could have come from Tahoe. This raises another issue however, there is not very many minorities living in the area. Hispanics are present in the area, but the cost of living and the high real estate value has driven out a lot of the under classes. So, I do question the title.
