Yes, I have been seeing a lot of places shunning out Anime in favor of crap, useless comedies that only 12 year olds think are funny. America in itself has gone into this "reality TV" phase in which all tv show that seem to do the best are reality bullcrap. Heck, even netflix has dismantled its intant que by reducing the size of anime by 1/9 of what it use to be, instead of slowling growing in size like hulu has done. Go check out adult swim's forums on their website. There are hundreds of people just like you who think that a specific series should be on adult Swim because it would be so great for them, but they get ignored, flamed, and trolled.

Adult swim doesn't make much money off of Anime and relying on original programming and Family Guy reruns keeps them afloat.

Also, you may think that watching shows on the internet hurts the license holders, but that's not the case with hulu. The ads and commercials on this site pay for the free content and support the people who own the shows. Watching them on illegal streaming sites that aren't affiliated is what hurts them.
