Great job casting Jolynn Carpenter as Jessica Drew/Spiderwoman...keep 'em coming!

Maleev's art works well with this kind of stuff, though. It's pretty cool how they've been able to semi-animate it from its original form as a comic book.As for the story itself, it's nice to see Bendis writing Jessica Drew again. Loved his work on Alias.

ok try this: type in animated comic on youtube and see what comes up...batman, street-fighter, voltron, watchmen. i'm sorry, but this and astonishing x-men are both, hands down, the two best of their genre bar none. if the genre is poorly titled then let someone design a piece that conforms to what the genre should supposedly be like (as per below criticisms.) as far as i've been able to find, spider-woman and astonishing x-men both stand out in a rather small crowd of otherwise clumsy 'motion comics' that are riddled with issues. (p.s.: all of the above named strips are still very cool - this one just takes the cake! actually, 'i am legend' also had some really slick 'motion comics' included with the dvd - also available via youtube - jada pinkett smith oversaw creative direction. :)

I think its a refreshing change from the typical "make it as realistic as possible" animations. It lets the story be the focus through a series of stills and less about the animation. I think it's as close to reading a comic book as you can get in "animation". I'm a subscriber to this one! Those knocking it for the writing have way to high of expectations for comic book text and for people. We don't all talk like we have degrees in english. Listen to your co-workers when they're around "the water cooler".

Horrible writing ("This is a very cool doohickey"), horrible voice acting ("Congratulations Wolverine, you are no longer the most screwed over human in the history of the entire world!"), and the art isn't even all that impressive. Avoid this program at all costs.
