I was in Newcastle for four months on a study abroad program at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1999. This video only gives a small taste of what is in store for those that venture on "the toon" as the Geordies say. Check out the Quayside (pronounced keyside) and the selection of pubs along the river front, also, the statue in the video is called the "Angel of the North" and is definitely a sight to see. For those that want to see more than pubs, go check out the North Sea at Tynemouth and the ruins that run along the coast. In addition to pubs (which close early), there is a wild night scene full of clubs and such, and I do recall a club on a ship with a foam party. I'm getting thirsty, Wey aye man! *Exercise caution with some locals late at night as they are all drunk and some can get rowdy.
