I think she thought that if she kept his role slim, it wouldn't show what a horrible dancer he is. The only reason he did well this week is because it was fairly simple in terms of footwork. Take a look at earlier dances where he had more to do and you'll see why she did it. Of course, the judges won't let her get away with that, but it's certainly understandable. I agree though that the other person in the hire a pro competition was more deserving and they seemed to have it pre-ordained and ripped him to shreds. He was incredible! See 4 other replies

She was not my favorite choice either, and some of her choreography has been questionable, however, Michael's dancing is too laid back. He can boogie down, but anything past that he lacks the coordination to do any very hard stepwork. I think they're both contributing to the downfall of this unfortunate couple. Poorly choreographed. She didn't give him anything to do but basically walk around. I think she needs lessons in sharing the spotlight. See 4 other replies

Michael is performing each dance the way he was taught. His "expert' dancer is using him to show case herself. She has been admonished numerous times about the choreography to no avail. I have to say, if he looses it will be because she did not tax him enough and her choreography was juvenile. I feel so sorry for him, he is trying so hard without the tools to do his best.
