so i propose, like most things in our awareness, the bigger u get, the slower time affects you, so to speak. now i heard it stated in this little movie several times that we would get all these warning signs from yellowstone before it goes supernova. But our working knowledge of volcanoes is based solely on the workings of VASTLY smaller volcanic systems. Therefore the assumptions made by the scientists stating that we would recognize and act upon the warning signs of a yellowstone eruption cannot be wholly correct. I propose the in such a large system the workings would be much slower and more drawn out over many years, even hundreds. Perhaps all the warning signs have already come and gone. P.S. to all of you who look at the icon used for this movie and can only think of one thing, i suggest to you, yes, you do have a dirty mind.

I live in Rock SPrings Wyo, i visit Yellowstone half a dozen times a year, at least, from all entrances. I feel blessed. Accept fate and destiny, swallow your pride and realize human existence is frail and fleeting. are people really that scared of the awesome power beneath us. Ahhh, i call it reaffirmation! Makes for good TV though! People should become aware of boars tusk, the killpecker sand dunes and the giant high desert that was once covered in palm forests, as evidenced by the awesome petrified wood, agate, and other minerals i find everyday, not to mention the natural gas, coal bed methane, and oil that give me my paycheck!!!!

Very interesting, but a bit repetitive. Many video clips were used several times and some information was repeated over and over (and over). There was probably 20 to 30 minutes worth of content in the 46 minute program.

Yeah I'm probably a dirty-minded person, but seriously, am I the only one who thinks there's something a little off about the picture link to this video?

This was a neat enough show. At the very least, the effects were interesting, althought I agree with a previous reviewer about the sensationalist nature of the program.The one thing that I thought was really neat was the painting of Geologists as almost action heroes. Most notably when they describe citizens being evacuated and refer to geologists being the last to stay in the danger zone.

Some fair science in this piece, but remains sensationalistic in that it wants to portray events that happen on a geological timeframe are imminent. Hurry and sell that time-share at Jackson Hole while you still can!
