Toxic Crusaders

OK, let me be clear, I HATE overbearing Greenpeace "don't pollute" message media. Personally I didn't care much for shows like Fern Gully, Captain Planet, etc. (didn't even like Star Trek 4) I find them to be Preachy, annoying as hell, and pointless. This show is kind of like that, it definitely has its Preachy and overbearing moral lesson moments about polluting, but unlike the others, it never takes itself seriously.
It is constantly breaking the 4th wall, it has obvious Face-palm inducing humor, lame plots/puns, weird characters, and it doesn't apologize for any of that! At first I thought that this was going to be another show for me to hate, but then it took care to make it obvious that its not serious, and seems wholeheartedly to be Openly mocking the Greenpeace media demographic I hate. It's a Parody through and through, and for that I give it Kudos. Not to mention: this was made back in the day when cartoon characters could beat the crap out of each-other without the media making a big deal of it. Thankfully it doesn't go to the extreme of showing blood (like its source material), and it doesn't need to either, that would detract from the humor. Overall I actually liked this and can't wait to see more! Be warned though, when I said it was cheesy... well... let just say you have to see it to believe it. Don't expect anything serious from this Toxic Tomato of a show, and you'll have fun watching it.
