Above all, this is a brilliant coming of age story. The nautical details carry it along nicely, and the class distinctions are an interesting window into society in that age.I'd recommend not watching all three parts in one sitting. Give each of them time to settle in your brain. I found much of the joy to come from recognizing details that recalled a memory from an earlier episode.
