They Came From Outer Space

This is one of the suckiest shows I've seen in ages, no acting, writing or any other skills to mention, insults anyones intelligience.

you have to pay attention to the banter between Bo and Abe--reminiscent of Howard Hawks movies of old. It is hilarious. The plot lines don't really matter, it all about the dialogue between Bo and Abe. I loved this show and wish it were available on DVD, but hulu will do for now. Remember this is satire, not high-brow anything, so enjoy it for what it is and don't criticize it for being what it's not.

I actually remember watching this show when it was on the air. It was when the Fox network first started and was going through an awkward phase were shows like Tracy Ulman, Gary Shandling, this show, and Warewolf. I think X-files came a little bit later and was Fox's first truly viable quality show, and the Simpsons were all that survived of Tracy Ulman's show.But I remember this as being different enough to be fun when I was staying up late watching tv on the weekend when I was likely in highschool. It was never really 'good' it was like a Space-Bill & Space-Ted's excellent road trip. A more modern equivalent would have been Son of the Beach. It is unabashedly campy below-low budget b-television.Having said that, if you are looking for something dated and cheesy, kick back and enjoy the show, this is about on par with Wierd-Science. Even though I liked it back when it aired, it is hard to sit through now, at least is sober; hence the 3-star rating.
