I tried to love this show. I was deployed overseas when this show was airing so watching it here on Hulu was my first time. I had actually read the Tick comic books (along with Paul the Samurai) and had seen the older cartoon. As I loved the movie Mystery Men, I had hoped that this would be int he same vein. Unfortunately it isn't. It just isn't that good as a whole. Warburton plays him as a ponderous dimwit while the character was more of a hyperactive dimwit. The stories are thin on character and it just isn't funny. The only saving grace of this show is the performance of Nestor Carbonnel (Richard Alpert from Lost) as Batmanuel who is the funniest of the characters and most enjoyable to watch as a whole. To me the bottom line is that as the selection of comedy/sci-fi/action whatever on Hulu is limited, it is a fine diversion for a couple of hours, but you are better off watching something like Community.
